Haute Glue Brand Identity

Haute Glue is a student-run fashion and performance show held at Carnegie Mellon each March. This year, a close-knit student team is scaling the show from a small operation into a broader platform for creative visibility.

As design director, I am developing a visual identity spanning print, motion, social media, and web that celebrates Haute Glue’s weird and wonderful spirit.

Haute Glue’s brand is built around a flexible system of rounded, pixel-based assets. Their motion is inspired by the behavior of glue: they merge, expand, and contract, creating a dynamic unpredictability that reflects the show’s avant-garde energy.

Varying widths of GT Standard anchor the system. At wider scales, the typeface’s stout letterforms echo the rounded pixel assets. Electric pinks and yellows are balanced by muted periwinkles and greens, creating a palette that is both joyful and refined.
