Case study on pitching a promotional event concept to Thrasher. Deck design is intended to align with Thrasher branding, as is the event: a community contest for the Thrasher cover photo, hosted at pop-up skateparks across three US cities.
Project Overview
This case study is my final project from Creative Concepting, a class focusing on the basics of ideation and pitching for a design agency environment. My process began with the development of five concepts, which I then synthesized into a set of two. These were combined into a final idea: the Urban Shred Cover Contest.
I expanded on my chosen concept with a mock-up, user flow diagram, touch point set, and physical prototype. My render of a pop-up NYC skatepark was created in Photoshop. The physical prototype features a vinyl transfer of a shirt design, hand cut with an X-Acto.
